Travel Story Short

FYI

• East side of Iceland mostly known for closest town to Stuðlagil Canyon 
• Fill up gas here before Canyon, Has Bonus for groceries
• Area is colder, more chance of snow  
• Stay in any hotel or cheap at Tehúsið Hostel 
• “Camp Egilsstadir and Egilsstadastofa Visitor Center” 
  • ***Public Laundromat inside (Always use shorter cycle)

TO DO

Getting here

• COUNTER clockwise on ring rd- coming from south west
• Stay on Route 1 the whole time- ignore google maps shortcut
• Staying on Rt1 will show 30min longer but its worth it
• Gmaps tries to direct you via short cut on 939 but its a real shitty gravel rd
