FYI
- Desert park on Nevada/California boarder
- AVOID IN SUMMER- way too hot
- Can do it all in one day- not really worth it unless its a road trip stop
- Practically no hiking- every attraction can drive directly to it
- Salt will absolutely get on your pants and shoes
- Two Roads contain all stops
- 1 Badwater road
- 2 CA-190
Where to stay
1.Beatty
- Town on Nevada side- only 30-40min from stuff in park
- Drive through town not much but hotels and food stops
- Eddie world store: groceries, subway, ice cream and GREAT breakfast cafe
2. CAMPING
- Furnace Creek Campground : Most popular, need reservations. Fills quick
- First come first serve sites: most located near Visitor Center.
- Texas spring: Best, fire pit and picnic tables- fills quick.
- Stovepipe Wells: Smaller, tent sites with fire grates. near Mesquite Flat
- Sunset: Dirt lot for rvs but tents allowed. Nothing else.
Visitor Center
- Only area with cell service and wifi
- Expensive accommodation, gas station at 3x the price if you are desperate,
- Last Kind words Saloon: best place to grab a meal
- Located oasis and ranch of death valley- but open to public
- Also has general grocery store next door
