Main Land
- Quito= capital, main airport to fly into before islands
- Usually have to spend 1 night in Quito time wise
- Need to Purchase Transit Control Card in Quito Airport
Guayaquil Layover= Not your normal domestic layover
- Quito Does not fly direct to San Cistobal- layover in Guayaquil first
- IMPORTANT: sometimes you stay on the plane during layover in Guayaquil
- Confirm with flight attendant!
- After landing cabin sprayed with disinfectant
Ferrys Between Islands
- Tour group books private speed boats between islands
- Otherwise next to impossible to do on your own
- Currents can be VERY rough= sea sickness- sit towards the back
- Ferry’s sometimes have WiFi
- Luggage Checkpoints: Arriving and departure each island
- Make sure no animals or plants taken
