• Airport: Cusco Velazco Astete (CUZ) 
• Frequent delays since flying into the mountains
• Organize airport pickup with Machu Picchu tour company ahead of time
  • It’s a madhouse when you land and worth every penny
  • Use uber on departure out of Cusco
• Cusco drivers are VERY aggressive
• You must learn to walk aggressively within cusco- no yielding to pedestrians

Layover in Lima

• Airlines: Use LATAM or Avianca
• If checking a bag recommend 3 hr layover
• Customs form and machine for Peruvian citizens only.
• Customs takes awhile- you get fingerprinted

1. After customs need to grab bags and have them scanned
2. Exit into Cusco airport
3. Re check your bag to cusco if you have a checked bag
4. Follow signs for domestic flights
5. Go through security AGAIN
