- Small town with tons of shops, accommodations etc.
- Home of the famous Lupin flowers (Purple flowers)
- Lupin Season only November- January
- Fill up gas here en route to mt cook!

- Jack rabbit= best breakfast
- Park near jack rabbit and go across Maclaren Footbridge, down to church
- “Church of the Good Shepherd” oversees lake
- Also has parking directly next to it
- Lupin Field: Infront of church
- Just walk around- path goes around bridge, up to the church. Go out by the rocks. Go nuts
- stop at local Four Square for snacks/groceries
- Pitstop en route to mt cook: Lake Pukaki Viewpoint here
