  • Technically 4 trails all color coded but essentially its upper or lower 
  • All trailheads at visitor center- there’s a big car park 
  • Visitor center has restrooms and cafe with hot meals
  • Hiking in Ireland always a gamble with clouds at any point
  1. Green: 0.5mi, easy   
  2. Yellow: : 1mi, easy  
  3. Blue- Lower:: 2mi medium, 45min  
  4. Red- Upper Trail: 4mi med/hard, 2hrs 

THE HIKE (UPPER TRAIL)

  • Halfway through lower tail- stay left to upper or stay right back to visitor center 
  • Rocky stairway can be extremely slippery! 
  • Few look out points along the way 
  • Peak can be hit or miss with clouds- welcome to Ireland 
  • The other side of the loop on the way down is MUCH easier and gradual
