- Located within Vatnajökull National Park ( so is half of iceland)
- Combo site- both trails start near visitor center: Skaftafellsstofa
- Has cafe/restaurant inside
- Lot of trails in the area but Svartifoss and Skaftafell are most popular
- Do Waterfall first!
Svartifoss waterfall
- Alltrails link: Easy uphill, 2mi out & back
- Trail is well marked but end point can be easily missed
- Hundafoss- bonus waterfall, quick stop on trail
- Has view platform and then keep onto Svartifoss
View Point
- Turn right at wooden bridge
- Somewhat hidden path
- Eventually clears to view platform

Skaftafell Glacier
- Very Easy flat walk down to glacier, lagoon.
- Can go as far as you want- cool scenary
- Dont spend a ton of time–Jökulsárlón glacier area is more worth it
